Recreation in Bronson
Bronson's Backyard
Our newest addition, "Bronson's Backyard" was fully financed and constructed by local citizens for all our treasured children.
Our city provides five well maintained public parks designed for the enjoyment of all age groups, including: A mural downtown memorial park, a lighted Little League baseball park, a neighborhood park ideal for children, and two other parks for older children and adults. Park facilities include tennis courts, softball and baseball diamonds, park service buildings used for Scouts and other community events, and picnic pavilions with tables and grills. The Bronson Community Foundation was created to purchase and restore the old movie theater. The Bronson Community Center is now available to any community group, thanks to the many citizen volunteers and sponsors who made this project a reality. The Bronson Family and Youth Center is home to the Bronson Area Youth Program, a joint effort by Campus Life, CYES, Bronson Schools and Area Service Groups.

Bronson is truly a Water Wonderland with many lakes in close proximity to the city. As such, it has an excellent reputation as a Fisherman's Paradise. These local lakes are stocked with Bluegill, Bass, Perch, Pike, Crappie, Walleye and Rainbow Lake Trout. Public fishing sites and boats for rent are found on many of these sites. Many year round homes and cottages are located on the lakes and some are available for rent. For non-fishers, swimming, boating, sailing and water skiing are popular summer activities. Ice fishing is perhaps the most popular winter sport. For the hunter, our area contains a large deer population, rabbit and pheasant.
